Abstract
The equation of state of asymmetric nuclear matter within relativistic density functional theory with density dependent couplings is discussed at zero and non-zero temperatures including the onset of hyperonic matter. In addition I will discuss the pairing in asymmetric nuclear matter at low densities in the deuteron channel with emphasis on the variety of superfluid phases that may arise and their behavior under isospin asymmetry.
